Gurvinder, Ghani share Panj Garain dangal title

JAMMU, June 16: Punjab wrestlers, Gurvinder and Abdul Ghani shared the 21st Annual Panj Garain Kesari dangal title after the main bout they fought for ended in a draw at Panj Garain, near here resulting into both the wrestlers given away Rs 5000 each as prize money by the organisers.
In the second main bout of this dangal, which was organised by Panj Garain Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, was won by Sunny of Hoshiarpur defeating Roshan Lal of J&K Police. The third main bout between Puran of Garh Shanker and Onkar Singh of BSF lasted for 36 minutes and remained inconclusive thus both the competitors were given away a cash prize of Rs 2000 each. Gurpal of Hoshiarpur won the 4th main bout beating Sher Singh of Khanna while 5th bout went to Kulbir Singh of Kot Bhalwal, who defeated Babbar of Merrut in Uttar Pradesh. The sixth bout was won by Bobari of Jammu defeating Bholla of Hossiarpur and Amit of Merrut clinched the seventh main bout beating Swarn Singh of Kot Bhalwal in Jammu.
President of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma was chief guest in this dangal while SDPO Nagrota Faisal Qureshi and national president of All India Muslim Teli Conference, Bashir M Malik were the guests of honour. Former DySP, Mangal Singh, SHO Nagrota Nazir Dhar and Sub Inspector Vikas were also present. Member of organizing Committee and those technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of dangal were Thoru Ram, (ex. Sarpanch), Chanchal Singh, Shanker Singh, Girdhari Lal, Shakeel Ahmed, Devinder Singh, Master, Rajinder Singh Master, Rattan Singh, lamberdar, Chain Singh Forester, Beer Singh, Jagan Nath Lamberdar, Om Parkash Sharma, NIS Wrestling coach, Mohd. Fareed, Manjoor Hussain and Krishan Lal Sharma Ustad.

Bouts between Surinder of Khanna and Naresh of Teharn, Laket Ali of Paznthal and Sonu of Ludhiana and Mohd Butta of Garh Shanker and Murad Ali of Jammu ended in draw.
