| Scouts & Guides camp concludes in Thanamandi | | |

RAJOURI, June 17: A four day camp for Scouts and Guide organized at MET Higher Secondary School Thanamadi concluded here today. The District Development Commissioner Mr G.A. Khwaja was the chief guest on the occasion The camp organized by J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides imparted training to about 75 participants.
Mr Khwaja exhorted the students to get involved in such activities for their personality development and betterment of the society adding that mission of scouting is to contribute to the education of young people imbibing in them discipline and values ,to help build a better world where people are self fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society. The DDC lauded the role of the host institution in organizing such events and said that the school is playing an important role in imparting quality education to the students of this far flung area .He asked for organizing more such camps for instilling self confidence in students and developing their over all personality. Later the prizes were distributed among the best scouts and guides who participated in various activities organized during the camp.
The DDC also took stock of the ongoing developmental works in the area and asked the concerned officers to ensure their timely completion.
