RAJOURI, June 18 : Terming Saif-ud-Din Soz as most important pillar in the tent of coalition government, Youth Congress leader Sajjad Tariq has said that party has gained momentum and intensified activities during his tenure in whole the state and particularly in Rajouri Poonch areas besides he has kept Congress and National Conference intact under one umbrella of coalition government.
In a press statement issued here, son of former minister Mohammad Sharief Tariq, Sajjad has said that though Congress is a reputed national party since its formation by AO Hume in 1835, its roots had weaken in this state due to emergence of regional parties like National Conference but he said that Prof Soz has put new life in the cadre and the party is once again gaining ground in the state. “We must give credit of this to Prof. Soz because he has worked hard to put new life in the cadre”, he said adding that following his taking over as Pradesh Congress President, the functioning of the party in the state and particularly in rural areas have been streamlined and reviewed.
Terming recent visits of Union ministers and central party leaders to the state as big achievement of Soz, Sajjad said that Soz is playing a vital role in keeping the coalition parties together and intact with each other. “He has bridged gaps between these parties and is striving hard for smooth functioning of the government”, he said terming him a pillar in coalition governments tent.
