CHANDIGARH , June 18: BBMB, SJVNL, NHPC AND POWERGRID sealed their semifinal berths in the PSCB Inter CPSU Kabaddi Tournament 2010.On the second day of the three day Inter - CPSU Kabaddi Tournament 2010 being played at Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh. Six keenly contested matches were played.
In the morning session four matches were played. In the first match of the day SJVNL Defeated CEA 22-4. In the other matches played, BBMB continued their winning spree by defeating MOP 41-17 , NHPC edged past REC 29-11 Wheras REC in a show of attacking game defeated MOP 28-8.
In the matches played in the evening session POWERGRID faced SJVNL and BBMB faced NHPC. SJVNL defeated POWERGRID 35-10 Wheras BBMB trounced NHPC 35-6.BBMB topped Pool "A" with three straight wins whereas NHPC remained Runnerup. In the Pool "B" SJVL topped the pool and POWERGRID remained runnerup In the semifinals BBMB will face POWERGRID and SJVNL will fight it out against NHPC. The semifinals will be played in the morning session on 19.06.2010. Whereas hardline and Final matches shall be held in the evening session from 6.00PM on the same day.
Today's matches were witnessed among by Sh. Stanley Mathews, Chief Manager(HR) POWERGRID and Sh. S.S.Pall Chief Manager(I/C) POWERGRID Chandigarh.
