Jammu law student excels at national level | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 18: Two students of Dogra Law College Jammu, Abhilasha Sharma and Samreen Monga excelled during the month-long Summer Internship Course of National Human Rights Commission held at New Delhi. Both Samreen and Abhilasha, VIIIth semester five years integrated law course, were selected by National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC) New Delhi for Summer Internship Course on the basis of the evaluation of the written assignment submitted by the students for selection. Students representing different universities and educational institutions of India submitted written assignments in the Internship Course wing of NHRC New Delhi and out of that 100 students were selected on the basis of the evaluation of the written Assignments. During this Internship these Jammu students made to do various activities like state presentations, debate competition, book review and project work. They were assigned with two project works, `environment and human rights', which was dealt by Samreen Monga and `Honour Killing and Human Rights' was undertaken by Abhilasha Sharma. Both students secured "Excellent Grade" on the basis of their performance. Students were presented certificates by former Chief Justice of India, Justice KG Balakrishnen who is presently Chairperson of National Human Right Commission (NHRC) New Delhi. The Director cum Principal of the Dogra Law College, Prof. VK Kapoor and secretary, Samar Dev Singh, Dogra Educational Trust facilitated the students of Dogra law College for the achievement.
