| Jammu Blue lifts State Korfball trophy | | |

SRINAGAR, June 18: Jammu Blue clinched the 9th State Korfball Championship beating Jammu Red in the well contested final 13-10 (ht 5-1) played here today. Championship was organised by J&K Korfball Association.
Sunil Singh was top scorer with four goals while Jugal Sharma and Megha contributed three goals each. Irfan and Amandeep added one goal each.
Earlier, in the hardliner for third place, Srinagar Blue trounced district Udhampur by seven goals to three.
In the final and prize distribution function, Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul was chief guest who gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes.
Before the prize distribution function, president T S Wazir welcomed the distinguished gathering and apprised the chief guest about the achievements made by the game of korfball at the national level.
