Balwant Thakur inaugurates Art Exhibition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 19: A week long Fevicryl Hobby Ideas Expert Teachers' Training Course concluded today at IIFT, PTU Authorized Learning Center, and Panjthirthi. Over 50 Hobby Ideas potential teachers from Jammu and vicinity attended the Training Course. The Course was inaugurated by Ms Shivangi Gupta -Center Director Eminent theatre director and Chief Guest on the occasion, Balwant Thakur inaugurated the exhibition while noted painter Rohit Verma was the guest of honor at the function. No fewer than fifty persons took part in week-long Fevicryl Hobby Ideas Expert entitled 'Explore your Creativity through Innovation' teachers training course. Rakesh Sen (Gold Medalist from College of Art and Crafts, Lucknow) imparted lessons on creative education and taught latest techniques in workshop viz. Maple leaf Painting, Warli Batik, Pendants, Ornamental Paintings, Alpna Paintings, Marble Glass Paintings, Paper Craft, Latest Techniques of fabric suit paintings, antique paintings, Bed Sheet design, T-Shirt Painting and Random free Art Design etc. Anita, Teena, Mamta and Aditi also assisted the experts. Director IIFT Shivangi Gupta gave participants detailed information about aims and objectives and said that they are committed to promote the spirit of art and craft among people of all age groups including the people in rural areas.Appreciating the art works Balwant Thakur lauded IIFT's endeavors and opined that creative activities this kind should not be confined to just one stream of art; it has to evolve all forms of art. The works of art should be rooted in our soil and reflect ethos of and folk motifs of our regional culture.Present on the occasion included noted painter K.K.Gandhi, Narinder Sharma Co-Director IIFT, and Vikas Razdan, Deputy Regional Manager J&K, Punjab Technical University.
