| Mehbooba threat to general public: NC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, June 19: Despite of a number of attempts made, by few self styled sympathizers of Jammu region, to vitiate peaceful atmosphere of Jammu by indulging in mud slinging, people showed full restraint and have out-rightly rejected their design. These leaders leave not even single opportunity, whether it is any part of Kashmir region or in Jammu, to add fuel to the sentiments & emotions of people in case of any crisis or unwanted situations emerged. It is sad and unfortunate that at this juncture of agony & sorrow, People's Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti visited Jammu only to cash upon untimely death of a young budding child by criminals and also named Jammu region as a land of mafia and criminals, said Joint Secretary Youth National Conference Iqbal Wani.
Further, extending gratitude towards people of Jammu city for maintaining communal harmony & showing unity during the moment of crisis, when an innocent child was killed brutally by two criminal minded youth, Iqbal Wani said that he wants to set right record of Mehbooba Mufti. The present Government had always taken serious notice of all such unfortunate incidents. People of Jammu are well aware about the acumen and integrity shown by the Police authorities in breaking vicious nexus which came into existence in order to save the accused in Amandeep Murder case. It was only because of the clear directions issued by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that the said case involving few big-wigs was also solved smoothly without any political interference. In Shaleen's kidnapping/ murder case also, the police was quick in arresting both the criminals. Even, the mystery behind Chopra family murder case is also expected to be revealed with the main culprit Sangram Singh arrested recently.
Similarly, in Kashmir region also, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is always there to bestow justice upon people, irrespective of power & status of all those found responsible for heinous crimes. Wani made an appeal to Mehbooba and all such leaders not to play with sentiments and lives of people rather to come forward to help them in maintenance & restoration of peace in whole of J&K. Such leaders, generally rejected by people in general elections, get impatient and adopt measures to come to power through back door entry. Such power hungry leaders should avoid adopting anti people policies and becoming a threat to general public safety. |
