HC comes to rescue of job aspirants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 21: The high court today directed the Public Service Commission (PSC) to conduct interview of the petitioner for the post of Assistant Grading & Marketing officer. The court further directed the PSC not to declare the result of the interview till further orders. Vacation Judge, Justice JP Singh today issued the order in a petition preferred by Savita Sharma challenging the PSC Notice dated June 10, 2010 whereby she has been refused consideration for selection against the post of Assistant Grading & Marketing Officer in Horticulture (P&M) Agriculture Production Department. The petitioner submitted that her qualification as Master of Agri-Business Management with graduation in Agriculture Satisfies was enough to make her eligible for the said post. The court after hearing the parties observed that a case for consideration has been made out and issued notice to the respondents with the direction PSC to conduct the interview of the aforesaid post. In another petition filed by Suresh Kumar & Others, the court directed the PSC to interview the petitioners against the post of Lecturer (10+2) in the discipline of information technology notified for selection vide notification dated March 9, 2009. Court further directed PSC that the result of the petitioners shall not be declared until further orders from Court.JNF
