| Plane's tyre bursts | | | SRINAGAR: The passengers of a Delhi-Srinagar IndiGo Flight had a nightmarish experience today after a tyre of the plane burst while landing at the Srinagar airport.
"The passengers of a Delhi-Srinagar IndiGo flight had a close shave as a tyre of the plane burst while landing at the airport," police sources said. "The IndiGo airlines flight No 6E with 160 passengers on board was landing at the Srinagar airport when one of its tyres burst on the runway," The sources added.
Sources said the pilots were able to land the flight safely, thereby averting a major tragedy.
Airport officials said the IndiGo flight from Srinagar to Delhi would now take off only when all technical checks were done to ensure the plane's airworthiness.
