EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 21: Shreya Sharma, a student of Government College for Women Parade feels that dedication, hard work and sincere efforts always pay in life.
For three consecutive years in B Com I, II and III, Shreya remained merit holder as she stood 1st in the first year and bagged 3rd position in the second while in the final year, when it matters the most, she clinched the top spot with her sheer determination and untiring efforts.
Shreya wants to do MA in Economics and then try to crack the tough nut of Indian Civil Services examination.
Talking to Early Times Correspondent, Shreya said, "I was on top of the world when came to know that I have topped the Commerce stream in university results for the final year examination."
She said, "I remained in the top bracket throughout the graduation level since I secured first spot in B Com I and came 3rd in Part II securing 85.6 and 80.1 per cent marks respectively. I wanted to claim the top rank this year for which I had to study hard."
In this competitive era, one has to be consistent to be successful. I have secured 75.13 per cent marks", said Shreya.
Daughter of government employee parents, Shreya took guidance for practical subjects like business statistics and management accounting. She said tuitions were must, because in a limited time, it was not possible to get all the details.
Though Shreya had been attending private tuitions, she accredits the success to her parents and teachers.
"These extra classes have paid. Many concepts and doubts were cleared during extra coaching. But the college faculty too, had always been very encouraging. Whenever I approached any teacher to clear my doubts, they provided me thorough knowledge on the topic."
She shares her success mantra and says: "Hard work and consistency pay. Basically, it is the quality study one needs to do."
