Girls continue dominance, grab Lion’s share in Merit list | JU declares undergraduate final year result in record time | | MISHU GUPTA EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 21: Girls maintained their supremacy in Science, Commerce while boys shine in Arts faculty in BA/BSc/BCom Part final examinations, the result of which were declared this evening by the University of Jammu. Pass percentage in the exams stood at 59 percent marks. Girls bagged seven positions in Science and nine in commerce while in Arts boys managed to get six positions while the girls attained five positions in arts stream. Anoop Kumar student of Govt Degree College, Bhaderwah bagged prestigious first position in Science faculty securing 83.15 per cent marks. He was followed by Shiwali Gupta, the student of GCW Udhampur who took 82.48 per cent marks. While Sheikha Gupta from GGM Science College bagged third rank securing 82.18 percent marks. Shreya Sharma , Bhanu Priya and Supriya Chaurasia all students of Govt College for Women, Parade Ground bagged first three positions in Commerce stream securing 80.04 ,76.60 and 75.86 per cent marks respectively. Sonu Nangla from GCW Udhampur topped the merit-list in Arts faculty with 79.39 per cent marks. Gurvinder Kour Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar stood second with 75.33 per cent marks while Pooja Devi from Govt Degree College Akhnoor bagged third position 72.54 per cent marks. Fourth , Fifth and Sixth in Science faculty went to Sakshi Sharma from GCW Udhampur, Neha Gupta from GDC ( Boys ) Udhmapur and Akhil Dev Singh of GDC Kathua clinching 81.69, 81.33 and 81.21 per cent marks respectively. Seventh and Eigth position in Science went to Raman Jasrotia and Swati Joshi of GDC Kathua and GGM Science College securing 81.09 and 80.72 percent marks respectively. While Mehak Sajgotra and Nidhee katyal both the students from GCW Parade College bagged ninth and tenth position securing 80.66 and 80.48 percent marks. Fourth position in Commerce stream went to the Shreya Jain from GCW Parade securing 75.73 percent marks. While Sabia Gupta again from GCW Parade bagged 5th position securing 75.30 percent marks. Aditya Jandiyal from GDC Kathua bagged 6th ranks securing 75.06 percent marks while Priya Gupta from D.D.E. ( I.C.E.) Jammu bagged seventh position securing 74.47 percent marks. While, Neha Gupta, Rohini Sharma and Aakansha Gupta all students of GCW Parade bagged eighth, ninth and tenth position securing 73.82, 73.34 and 72.73 percent marks respectively. Fourth position in Arts faculty went to Adnan Javeed from Govt MAM College securing 72.24 per cent marks. Rahul Mahajan from Govt MAM College clinched 5th position securing 72.12 percent marks. Sixth and seventh positions in Arts went to Yaseer Khan and Nitin Kesar , the students of Himalyan Degree College Rajouri and Govt MAM College . They had 72.00 and 71.63 percent marks. Eighth and ninth position in Arts again went to Rupali Mahajan and Khaleeq Ahmed students of Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar and Himalayan Degree College Rajouri who took 71.57 and 71.51 percent marks. While tenth position was shared between Shakti Singh Manhas and Rifat Naz students of Gobt Mam College and Himalyan Degree College .
In BBA , Archana Gupta, Sana Khan and Nazli Ali Watali bagged first, second and third position securing 82.45 , 78.25 and 74.80 percent marks.
Tannu Aggarwal, Tanvi Mengi and Kiran Sharma clinched 1st , second and third rank in BCA department securing 79.33, 78.72 and 78.00 percent marks .
