JKNPP to hold integration camp from June 25 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 22: Expressed concern over deteriorating law and order situation in the State, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today announced that the party would hold its 37th National Integration camp at Sudhmahadev from June 25 to 27. Talking to media person, Balwant Singh Mankotia, state president JKNPP alleged that the present dispensation working in tandem with separatist and sectarian elements was vitiating the peaceful atmosphere of the state. He said, “It was Bhim Singh, who mooted the idea of holding a National Integration camp to defeat the sectarian and separatist designs and bringing the youth from different parts of the state together.” Mankotia said that about 5000 youth from different parts of the state would participate in the camp and share their experiences. He alleged that the NC-Cong coalition government has failed on all fronts and law and order machinery has completely broken down. “It is time that the government itself submits the resignation,” he said. Mankotia said that the murders, kidnappings, custodial killings have become order of the day and government was trying to do the lip service by shifting SSPs, DySPs. Mankotia expressed concern over the reported eagerness of the state government to press the central government for revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act. He said that security forces are fighting a tough war against Pak sponsored terrorism and it is unwise to even ask for the review of the provisions of the Act. Mankotia commended the security forces especially Army and CRPF for defending the honour of the country in such trying circumstances.
