| Rather visits Meezan Publishers Book Exhibition at LC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, June 22: Minister for Finance, A R Rather today inspected the Book Exhibition organized by Meezan Publishers and Distributors at J&K Legislative Complex, in connection with four-days All India Conference of the Presiding Officers of Legislative Bodies in India. Meezan Publishers is Prime and renowned publishing concerns of Kashmir Valley.
Rather went round the Book stall and evinced keen interest in the book displayed at the exhibition depicting social, political, cultural, history, tourism heritage and literature, personalities of Kashmir. The Minister lauded the organizers of the exhibition for displaying authenticated informative and rare books about Kashmir for the participating dignitaries and Presiding Officers from across the country, adding that the endeavour would go a long way to acquaint elite class of the country about the multifaceted aspects of the Kashmir including heritage and rich culture.
Rather also inspected stalls put up by Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Corporation showcasing world famous antique and intricate handicrafts of the Kashmir including Kani shawl, Pashmina shawl, Papier Machie carpets etc.
