| JJSF protests GGM Science College administration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 25: Protesting against the alleged mismanagement in the ongoing admission process at GGM Science College, the activists of Jammu Joint Students' Federation (JJSF) today staged a protest demonstration.
The protesters led by State Vice President, JJSF Partap Singh Jamwal alleged that the administration of GGM Science College has set up only one counter for admission seekers which is creating a lot of hardships for the aspirants since the number of students applying for Science stream is large.
Protesters said that unlike other colleges of the city the administration of Science College has failed to ensure a smooth admission process
They alleged that college staff is favouring some of the admission seekers who are known to them and taking their forms out of turn which is an injustice to those who stand in que for hours under scortching sun.
Protesting JJSF activists accused the college administration of playing with the sentiments of the students. They said that one of the glaring examples is the condition of Shaheedi Sthal of GGM Science College.
Shaheedi Sthal, which has a big place in the hearts of the student community, is loosing its glory due to the apathetic attitude of college administration as whenever few drops of rain pour, there is water logging around the memorial.
Abhay Sharma, a JJSF activist alleged that administration of ITI College Jammu is charging extra money from the students for the admission forms in some courses.
