Madan conducts daylong tour of Rajouri town

RAJOURI, June 25: Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma inaugurated the rigid pavement at Jawahar Nagar market area in Rajouri today.
He was accompanied by District Development Commissioner G.A.Khawaja, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range S. D S Jamwal, senior officers from BRO and civil administration
Col Vishal Aggarwal Cdr 31 BRTF informed that this 3.05 km road was completed by BRO at an estimated cost of Rs 6.90 and will provide a permanent t solution to the problem of traffic congestion in the area. This project was completed in a record time of twelve months, he added.
Sharma while speaking on the occasion said that the Central Government has provided liberal funding for carrying out various developmental projects and better roads connectivity has been accorded high priority .People of Rajouri will be benefited equally with the development of roads network which will help promote tourism and other activities, he added.
He said that Mughal road is an ambitious project which has drawn attention the historical and cultural importance of Rajouri district besides it will help tap the tourism potential of the area .He asked the people to deter land encroachments and cooperate with the administration and other executing agencies in timely completion on the ongoing works on road widening in the area.
He lauded the role of Sampark and the speed and quality of work exhibited by the organization. He said that such developmental works indicate that Rajouri towards a bright and prosperous future. On the occasion the DDC apprised the Member Parliament about the project for construction of car parking in the district.
He asked the concerned officers to start the work of upgradation of the Mandi-Dharali bridge and assured that assistance will be provided for the completion of this project for which the MP assured hand some funds out of his MPLAD.
Later, Madan Lal also met various deputations who apprised him about various problems and demands.
