| Zahoor Ahmed is new Jr Snooker champion | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, June 25: Zahoor Ahmed today emerged as new junior snooker champion beating equally good Fahad Hundu in a well contested final of the ongoing 20th Srinagar District Billiards and Snooker Championships at Hotel Pushwant, here.
Losing the opening frame, Zahoor lost the following to find the score leveled at 1-1. He lost the third frame too to go down 1-2, but only to recover again winning the last two making it a 3-2 in best of five final. The score: 45-83, 45-35, 31-64, 60-15, 85-35.
Meanwhile, in the senior snooker quarterfinals league round, Younus Kuchey won both of his matches played today thereby consolidating his position. Umar Mushtaq also won his league tie.
The Detailed Results: Senior Snooker league: Younus Kuchey bt Fahad Hundu 63-33, 60-50; Umar Mushtaq bt Zahoor Ahmed 63-36, 18-82, 73-34; Younus Kuchey bt Arfan Ahmed 64-02, 67-51.
