Join duties or face action: Secy to coaches | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 25: Transferred three week's ago on June three, all the 18 coaches of the J&K State Sports Council have been asked to join at their new place of positing by tomorrow or face action. "We did not stress on their joining the new place of positing because of the strike by Council staff. But, now when the strike has been called off, those coaches who have been transferred must have to join by tomorrow," Secretary J&K State Sports Council, S A Laharwal told . However, it has been learnt from the reliable sources that some coaches, a couple of whom led the fortnight long strike in Jammu, were reluctant to join at their new places of posting. "We will take stern disciplinary action under rules in case any of the transferred coaches fail to obey the orders," said the Secretary adding, "Even suspension orders can be issued in case of non-compliance of the June three transfer orders issued by me." It is pertinent to mention here that the transfer orders issued by the State Sports Council for 18 coaches earned a widespread criticism from the political parties terming the decision as anti-Jammu. Meanwhile, as per the sources within the office of the Sports Officer (Jammu), the provincial head of the State Sports Council, no order has been handed over to any coach today. However, the sources mentioned that individual orders would be delivered to the coaches by tomorrow.
