NSF demands bifurcation of JKPSC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 26:
National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged a protest on Jammu University campus to express dissatisfaction over the functioning of the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). NSF has demanded bifurcation of State Public Service Commission, one each for Jammu and Kashmir regions. Hundreds of student activists of NSF led by their president Vikas Sharma took out a rally on campus and torched the effigy of JKPSC Chairman condemning its alleged anti-Jammu attitude. Vikas Sharma said that the Chairman of JKPSC has taken no decision till date about the pending representations of aggrieved KAS aspirants. He alleged that JKPSC authorities adopted wrong paper setting pattern in some of the optional subjects including Chemistry-B, Dogri-B, Zoology-B, Geography-B and Agriculture-B in the recently held KAS mains examination. He demanded that fair chance be given to all the candidates as has been provided to the candidates who had optional subject of Agricultural Sciences. "The paper of Agriculture-B was conducted again following the report of out of syllabus questions and boycott of the same by the candidates but the genuine demand of the other aggrieved candidates is being ignored completely which is a grave injustice," Sharma said. Vikas Sharma further said that over two months have been passed but the PSC authorities have not disposed the representations regarding Chemistry-B, Dogri-B, Zoology-B and Geography-B. We condemned the attitude of PSC chairman for ignoring their demands. He suggested to PSC that if re-conduct of examination is not possible than the policy of Scaling/ Moderation method at the time of evaluation be adopted so as to protect the right of candidates and give fair and equal opportunity to all.
