| MLA Ramban floats projects for his constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Ramban, June 26:- In the course of his tour of Batote today, MLA, Ramban, Ashok Kumar sanctioned funds for three ponds, PHE pipes and a water cooler from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF). Three ponds sectioned are for village Haldnoo where the MLA held a public meeting in which villagers apprised him of their problems. These ponds are estimated to cost about 2.50 lacs and will provide water for vegetable cultivation. Vegitable farming is the main source of livelihood of the villagers of Haldnoo. To mitigate the problem of potable drinking water in the village, he sanctioned water pipes worth Rs.2.60 lacs, for the supply of water to the village through a PHE scheme. He assured the villagers that he would also take up their other problems with the concerned senior officers and ministers.
He also sanctioned a water cooler to provide cold drinking water for the visitors and patients at the hospital. He directed the JE, PHE engineers to provide a new water connection to the hospital to overcome acute water shortage. He also heard the grievances of the patients.
