JJSF protests running of unregistered study centres | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 26: Jammu Joint Students' Federation (JJSF) today launched a movement against mushroom growth of unregistered study centres of various universities in Jammu. The JJSF activists staged a protest at Press Club Jammu demanding identification and subsequent closure of these unregistered study centres. Partap Singh Jamwal, state vice president, JJSF alleged that majority of these centres are not registered by J&K government and the students who are pursuing degrees from these centres are not eligible to take admission in University of Jammu and even not able to apply for State government job. "These study and learning centres are just destroying the career and money of the students. These centres of various universities have not required facility, infrastructure and even these centres are running without any permission. These study centres not conduct any type of classes for the students and conducting exams in these study centres is also in illegal way," he alleged He demanded that State government should check the unregistered and un-authorized study centres and learning centres of various universities. He also demanded that Jammu University should identify and publish the list of these study and learning centres of various universities. Later, they also torched the effigy of the state government and raised slogans against the unregistered study centres.
