| Case listed for hearing on July 17 | | |
JAMMU: The much nhyped Amandeep murder cxase was adjourned today till July 17 as the suspension of work by the lawyers affected normal functioning of the courts. The case was listed for arguments (on charge) today and the police had produced all the accused except Choudhary Nagar Singh.
Other accused who were present in the court today include Jatinder Singh alias Raja, Royal Singh, former SSP Jammu Manohar Singh, former SHO Gandhi Nagar Sultan Mirza, former Sub-Inspector Satnam Singh, Sarwar Singh Hussain Bukhari former Ballastic Expert FSL, Constable Raj Singh and Rakesh Singh. Chodudhary Jagar who was on bail also present in the Court. According to the source the Choudhary Nagar singh was not fit physically and the Superintendent Jail had apprised the court about his ailment.
It is worth mentioning here that on August 29, 2009, Amandeep Singh s/o Former MLC & Advocate presently PDP Leader Deepinder Kour was murdered. The main accused Jatinder Singh and Choudhary Nagar Singh were arrested on August 30, 2009. Another accused Royal Singh was also arrested and later and weapon of offence was recovered from them. It was alleged that the weapon of offence was allegedly changed by the Choudhary brothers by hatching criminal conspiracy with the police officers and FSL officials, all the police officials & FSL officials were arrested in fudging of evidence whereas the Choudhary brothers surrendered before the Court on November 17, 2009.
