| Rs 400 Cr being spent on construction of tunnel : Saroori | | |

SRINAGAR, June 27: Minister for Roads and Buildings, G. M. Saroori today said that the construction work on 4 km long tunnel on Kishtwar-Simthan road shall be taken up within one month by R&B department, under Public Private Partnership (PPP) with J&K Bank and this road shall be used as an alternate road with Jammu-Srinagar National Highway round the year.
Saroori was addressing a public meeting after inspecting Ahlan, Gadool, Wailoo, Kukernag andSinghpora Chhatru Kishtwar areas. The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner/Secretary, R&B and Chief Engineer, R&B and a team of experts of J&K Bank.
The Minister said that the execution of work shall be continued round the clock and around Rs 400 crore shall be spent on the construction of tunnel.
