Army set to qualify for semis | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, June 27: Winning their second consecutive league match in pool-B, Army XI is set qualify for the knock-out stages of semi-finals in the ongoing Ist Police Martyrs' Memorial Football Tournament at Mini Stadium, here today. In the second pool match, Army defeated formidable Jammu and Kashmir Police in straight sets 25-21, 25-20. However, Police still have chances of qualify for the semis after their convincing straight sets (25-12, 25-19) win over Jammu XI. Both Police and Army have one game remaining tomorrow. When the last reports were filed, the match between City Volleyball Club (Blue) and Jammu XI was in progress with both sides leveled at 1-1 in best of three game. Today's matches were officiated by Ashok Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Yog Raj, Pranav, Ranjit Singh, Vijay Kumar Mehra, Kuldeep Sharma, Vipin, Yog Raj, Sushil and Som Raj.
