1st Mughal road rally completed sucessfully | | | Varun Maini Early Times Report Jammu, June 27: The first ever Mughal road rally -2010 Jointly organized by Hamalayan motor car sports and J&K tourism department completed the rally successfully from Jammu region. In the rally 29 cars participated out of which were speed cars which were taking part in the competition, while 18 were the slow moved cars which were chasing the speed cars. During the rally two speed cars due to mechanical defect could not moved further from panar and chatta-Pori beyond Pir Pass Sunny Sidhu was leading the car rally which started from Bujhaz, the starting point on Mughal road at 10.02 A.M towards Pir Panchal Pass (12200) via Salian, Chandi Mar, Panar, Dogran Pushiana and after covering 44 Km journey while the first car Sunny Sidhu reached on the pass at 10.55 AM within 53 minutes only. The car rally was received at Bujliaz by, DIG Rajouri Poonch Sukh Dev Singh Jamwal along with hundreds of people and school children. At Chandi Mar town the rally was welcomed by district development commissioner Poonch Kuldeep Lal Khajuria and it was seen off at Pir Panchal pass by SSP Poonch Manmohan Singh. Earlier, the rally started from Srinagar on 25th morning for Jammu and after covering 455 Km Journey via Anantnag, Doda, Batote Patni Top it reached Jammu by the evening. 5 A.M and the journey was started Poonch district. After covering 205 Km journey via sunder Bani, Rajouri, Thano Mandi it reached Bujliaz, the starting point on Mughal road at about 10.00 A,M.Atual Handa, the general secretary of Hamalayan Motor car, sport Association simla told this corrspondant that the participation in the rally belongs to Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajouri, and Himachal Pardesh, except one Tujeece Mughal who belongs to J&K state. The rally is organized by the association with the collaboration of tourism depart J&K and J&K bunt Lted. The main objective is to explore the tourism polentas of senile spots and nature blessed valleys located along side the Mughal road. He said that the spots and events one being vediographed and these shall be highlighted through electronic media and for the attractive of tourists. |
