2 killed, 1 hurt in road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 27: A girl and a truck driver were killed and a motorcyclist was wounded critically in two road mishaps on the Jammu-Ramban stretch of the national highway today. Police sources said Arun Verma, son of Romesh Verma of Udhampur, with his sister Sonika Verma (19), sitting on the pillion seat of his motorcycle, were going home when the bike skidded off the road on Flata Bridge at Rehmbal. While Sonika was killed on the spot, Arun survived with critical injuries. He was hospitalised. In another incident, a truck (JK13/9637) skidded off the road near Battery Chashma, Ramban, and fell into a gorge, resulting in the instant death of its driver Nissar Ahmad, son of Mohammad Saber of Awantipora, Kashmir.
