Omar is confused person: BJP
6/29/2010 10:40:27 PM
early times report
JAMMU, June 29: BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas today Omar Abdullah is confused person and recent protests and beating up of police personel and firing by police to defend their persons and property is inevitable and is outcome of the confused policies, because security forces do not have any option.
``Who is responsible for killings in Kashmir during last one month, whether army, CRPF,JKP, protestors, political parties or state government and its policies,'' he questioned while addressing media persons at Jammu.
He said that the reply of a common man is that it is the wrong policies of the government headed by State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and infighting within the government and totally confused policies .
BJP asks government whether they can run administration without assistance of CRPF? Even the state police have expressed need of presence of CRPF. BJP asks the government to use army, as and when required because the state was fighting proxy war.
Manhas said that security forces were demoralized by the demand made by none else but by Omar Abdullah, who favours withdrawal of troops, abolishing AFSPA and was beating drums of human rights violation, without caring human rights violated by militants.
Saying that it was a conspirary to disturb on going Shri Amarnath Yatra, Manhas said that Congress had adopted a criminal silence over the whole episode and was equally responsible.
Manhas said it was not problem of unemployment, rather it was war against nation supported by Pakistan and other countries.
He said ``our confusion over the policy to tackle militancy is root cause for spreading tentacles by militancy throughout the country''.
``Infact, Kashmir issue can be resolved, first we must make militants to surrender arms and it cannot be done by appeal. State government should not demoralize forces by attacking on CRPF or others, who are laying their lives to protect national interests,'' he added.
He said it was high time to mark presence by the government by controlling the situation in valley and government should take every possible step to stop self styled Hurriyat leaders from disturbing peaceful atmosphere. ``Because, they believe in bullet and not the ballot. In such a situation, no leniency can be adopted towards them,'' he said .
