| Fire brigade cop killed, two hurt as car plunges into canal | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 29: A day after he purchased an i-10 car, a cop of fire and essential services department was today killed after the vehicle skidded off the road at Barnai near here and plunged into Ranbir canal.Another cop and a girl sitting in the car, however, survived with critical injuries.
Police sources identified the dead as Vinod Bhat, son of Rajnath Bhat of Purkhoo migrants' camp, and the injured as Sardar Singh, son of Sain Dass of Dinga Amb, Kathua, and Pooja, daughter of Madan Lal of Janipura.
Rajnath was at present posted at the Roop Nagar office of his department. Sardar was also posted at the Roop Nagar office.The injured were undergoing treatment at the GMC Hospital.A case in this connection stands registered at the Domana police station.
