Acting Workshop inaugurated at Natrang | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU. June 29: Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur today inaugurated Ten-day Acting Workshop at Natrang Studio Theatre with the lighting of traditional lamp. The workshop is conducted by Sunita Raina who has completed two years of her professional training at National School of Drama, New Delhi. In his inaugural address Balwant Thakur said that it has been the endeavor of Natrang to provide opportunities of training to the young aspirants of the art of acting. In recent years it has been observed that there is a growing demand of actors all over and the young enthusiasts are showing overwhelming interest in learning the art of theatre and acting. The workshop will focus on the exploration of talent in body and voice of an actor. In the developed world theatre has acquired a major role in education and top international institutions are using the techniques of theatre in shaping personalities. Speaking on the occasion, Sunita Raina stressed the need of developing professional perfection in the art of acting. She observed that most of the youngsters only do day dreaming and never venture to put their best in achieving excellence in life. Others who spoke on the occasion included Sumeet Sharma, coordinator Children wing of Natrang. A large n umber of interested youth will be participating in the workshop.
