| Sangeet sandhya organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 29: A Yamini Cultural Society organised a sangeet sandhya here today at Rockland Society.
Rahila Khan, Chairman, Rockland Society was the chief guest while Arvind Khajuria, renowned educationist, presided over the function.
Young talented artists participated and performed in the Sangeet Sandhya. Different number of songs/ Ghazals and Bhajans were sung by the participants. Shivani Kashyap, a eight year student, sung a melodious song Taarey Zameen Par which was highly applauded by the audience.
Rahila Khan thanked the organisers and praised the young talent and distributed the participation certificates. Arvind Khajuria also praised the efforts of the organisers for organising such kind of functions.
Balwant Raj Choudhary, Secretary of the Yamini Cultural Society, announced that the Society is going to organise a singing competition in the State so that local talent could be highlighted at national level.
