Are the so-called nationalist and pro-Hindu RSS and the BJP over?

RUSTAM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 29: The so-called ultra-nationalist RSS, which befooled people for decades, is virtually over. The so-called ultra-nationalist BJP, political organ of the RSS, is also over. Both these outfits have practically abandoned the path they treaded for decades. In fact, both these so-called ultra-nationalist outfits have now become ultra-secular because both of them feel that they committed a grave blunder by advocating the ideology they used to advocate till 1998, when the BJP formed a rag-tag coalition to usurp power at the Centre and enjoy loaves and fishes of office. The leadership of both these outfits have come to realize that if they are to come back to power, they have no other option but to abandon completely their so-called nationalist and pro-Hindu ideology because the "secularists" in India and elsewhere in the world denounce their ideology as out-dated, regressive, backward-looking, reactionary, anti-minorities and fundamentally bad.
The today's RSS and BJP leaders are Mohan Bhagwat, Madan Das Devi, Inderesh Kumar and their crony Nitin Gadkari; and intriguers like L.K. Advani, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, who are doing their best to establish their "secular" credentials by disowning everything their predecessors, barring Atal Bihari Vajpayee and a few others, advocated and held very dear. The today's BJP leaders also include Narinder Modi and Tarun Vijay, who have also been doing what they could to establish that they are as "secular" as Mohammad Ali Jinnah was or they are as "secular" as those demanding greater autonomy and self-rule for Kashmir or those who forced the miniscule minority of Kashmiri Hindus to quit their original habitat and become refugees in their own motherland. It would not be out of place to mention here that the RSS paracharak in Jammu and Kashmir, Arun Kumar, wants the internally displaced Kashmiri Pandits to return to their homes and hearths in the "national interest". "They have to sacrifice themselves in the national interest by going back to Kashmir whatever be the situation there," he has opined. It is obvious that his is his master's voice and his master is none other than an uninspiring and confused Mohan Bhagwat.
It needs to be emphasized that the today's BJP has everything in its scheme of things for Ram Jethmalani, who was not for any kind of punishment to the Afzal Guru, who wants New Delhi to concede the demands the Kashmiri separatists put forth from time to time, who used all kinds of invectives and epithets for Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who contested election against Vajpayee from the Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency in 2004 and who has no regard whatever for any of the so-called RSS leaders. It also needs to be noted that the today's BJP has everything in its scheme of things for the Likes of Tarun Vijay, who hails the unaccommodating, primitive, intolerant and exclusivist "Kashmiriyat."
Only the today's RSS and BJP leaders could ensure the entry of the likes of Jethmalani and Tarun Vijay into the House of Elders (Rajya Sabha). There was a report just before the last Rajya Sabha elections that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had opposed the decision of the BJP Parliamentary Board to give mandate to Jethmalani and Tarun Vijay. It was indeed a false and misleading report. The BJP Parliamentary Board, which is dominated by the likes of canny Advani, Swaraj and Jaitley, had not given the mandate to Jethmalani and Tarun Vijay without the previous consent of Mohan Bhagwat and his advisors, who are interested more in minting money and flirting with controversial persons than in what, they still claim, they believe in - patriotism. Had Mohan Bhagwat opposed the decision of the BJP Parliamentary Board, the likes of Advani would not have dared to give mandate to such controversial persons as Jethmalani and Tarun Vijay. The decision to give mandate to Jethmalani and Tarun Vijay was not a mere lapse. It was a deliberate move and it was designed to appease the radical Islamists.
The truth is that the RSS and BJP leaders are two sides of one and the same coin and that all of them have gone so perverted that they can go to any extent to fulfill their personal ambitions. They can even barter the national interests in order to fulfill their lust for power and money. They represent fake Hinduism. They suffer from an extreme sense of inferiority complex and they are corrupt to the core. They are as unscrupulous as several other politicians and self-seekers are. In fact, they are worse than the "secularists." Their single-point agenda is to grind their own axes by hoodwinking and misleading the Hindus and their single-point agenda right now is create an impression across India, and even the world, that they are no different from other "secularists."
That's the reason the RSS has not reacted to the decision of the top-ranking BJP "secularists" to readmit to their party the former Defence, Foreign and Finance Minister and the Atal Bihari Vajpayee's right hand man, Jaswant Singh, who was expelled from the party only ten months ago for his controversial book on Mohammad Ali Jinnah, father and founder of Pakistan and an ardent champion of the pernicious two-nation theory that led to the partition of India on communal basis. Jaswant Singh returned to the BJP last Thursday, making it loud and clear that he did not disown his book "I have not disowned my book," he has said. The book, Jinnah - India, Partition, Independence, had created a major, major controversy last year for hailing Jinnah and holding Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel responsible for the communal partition of India.
