| Girl dies of burns at home | | | JAMMU: An 18-year-old girl died of burns which she received at her residence at Kabir Colony here under mysterious circumstances today.
She was identified as Mamta Devi, daughter of Nanak Chand.Police said over some trivial issue, the girl allegedly doused herself with kerosene oil and set herself afire.
With 100 per cent burns, she was evacuated by her family members to the GMC hospital where doctors pronounced her brought dead. Post-mortem would be conducted on her body tomorrow. Later, it would be handed over to her family members for last rites. Police had registered a case in this connection.
