PDP Fuelling Tension in Kashmir: NC Parliamentarian | | | Agencies SRINAGAR, June 29: A National Conference MP today accused PDP of spreading "hate politics" and sponsoring the present agitation in the state for its "own vested interests". "The PDP is power-hungry and they don't mind ruling the state over dead people. The provocative speeches of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and her office-bearers stand testimony to it," National Conference Lok Sabha Member from Anantnag Mehboob Beigh said here. Beigh, who expressed surprise over the stone-pelting incidents in South Kashmir, said the area was completely peaceful till yesterday. "It was during the night that some PDP office-bearers approached various areas which resulted in stone-pelting since this morning," he alleged. The MP said the "divisive and hate politics" allegedly being practised by the PDP for "its own vested interests to return to power" was condemnable. "The onus of the three deaths in South Kashmir today lies on the PDP leadership as they have misguided these youths," he said. Beigh said "from day one PDP in particular has been playing dirty politics which has resulted in spilling of blood on the streets of Kashmir," he said, and added, "they do not mind romping to power over the dead bodies of innocent Kashmiris." "Kashmiriyat teaches us to grieve the loss of people and not to play politics over it but unfortunately the PDP has forgotten this basic lesson as well," he alleged.
