| Applications invited for IAS induction | | |

SRINAGAR, June 30: The General Administration Department (GAD) has invited applications from eligible officers for consideration of induction into IAS under the non-KAS quota in terms of Rule (4) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Selection) Regulations, 1997.
According to a communication, the GAD has invited nominations of suitable officers who satisfy the eligibility conditions, from the administrative departments for their short-listing against two vacancies in IAS of J&K Cadre. The nominations duly recommended by the Administrative Departments in the prescribed proforma along with connected documents have to be forwarded to GAD by or before 15 July after which no nomination shall be entertained.
Nominations incomplete in any respect are liable to rejection and the officers whose names have earlier been recommended to GAD for consideration of their induction into IAS by their administrative departments need not be recommended again. A copy of the aforesaid communication is also available on GAD website (www.jkgad.nic.in).
