| Shailin murder: Statements of three more witnesses recorded | | |

JAMMU, June 30: In a much publicized murder of 10year old boy Shailin Gupta for ransom, the Investigating Officer had produced three more important witnesses before the Court for recording their statements u/s 164-A CrPC.
Those prosecution witnesses produced for recording statements included maternal uncle of deceased Shailni Gupta namely Jai Chand who was produced before the Excise Magistrate where his statement was recorded u/s 164-A CrPC. The two other witnesses namely Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Mr. Pritam Singh and Head Constable Ajit Singh. Before these three witnesses five important witnesses of case have already recorded their statements u/s 164-A CrPC. Those who were produced as prosecution witnesses are Rahul Kumar, shop-keeper of Nai-Basti, Jeetu Verma, an employee of PCO, Naresh Gupta, father of deceased, Purshtom Gupta, uncle of the deceased, Mohinder Pal, close friend of father of the deceased.
