EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 30: To lodge their protest against the NC-Congress coalition for repeatedly demoralizing the security forces in the valley, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to hold demonstrations throughout the Jammu province from tomorrow at district levels and from July 2 and 3, similar demonstrations will be held at mandal levels also. This decision was taken at a high level meeting of BJP State office bearers, MLAs, district and Morcha presidents at party headquarters under the presidentship of Shamsher Singh Manhas. The meeting was held to discuss the present situation prevailing in the valley, wherein the security forces personnel are being targeted, attacked and mercilessly beaten by the mobs. Addressing the party stalwarts, Manhas said that security forces are being unnecessarily defamed and demoralized because of the incompetence of the state government. The security forces have been doing splendid job in the valley during all these years of militancy and deserve appreciation instead of being demoralized. Manhas said it is the constitutional duty of the government to maintain law and order in the state and also ensure complete safety of every individual who wants to undertake pilgrimage. He said that Shri Amarnath Yatra was not merely a pilgrimage undertaken by two or three lakh Hindus, but it has come to symbolise the oneness of the country and J&K State, being complete and integral part of India like any other state, is accessible to every Indian as is rest of the country. Manhas said the present situation has been manipulated by anti-national elements hinder the annual Shri Amarnath Yatra. It also represents signal failure of the NC-Congress coalition government. He asked the Jammu-based ministers of Congress in particular to break their silence and come openly against the moves to demoralize the security forces. Ashok Khajuria, Suresh Jamwal, Pawan Gupta, Som Raj Khajuria, Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma (C.A), Usha Choudhary, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chander Mohan Sharma, Baldev Sharma, Prof. Gharu Ram, Shyam Choudhary, Durga Dass, Yudhvir Sethi, Mamta Singh, Purnima Sharma, Harinder Gupta, Balbir Ram, Lalit Moza, J.R. Gupta, Ashwani Bali, Sakina Bano, Karan Singh, Munish Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Dina Nath Bhagat, Sham Singh Katoch, Ved Parkash Fanda, Keshav Dutt, Chaggar Singh, Ramesh Kumar Sharma, Inderjit Sharma, Narinder Singh and Mohan Singh attended the meeting.
