JJSF flays state, Centre for not appointing CU V-C

JAMMU, June 30: Lambasting the State as well as Central Govt. for not appointing the Vice-Chancellor for the Central University of Jammu, whereas all other CUs have started their functioning, Jammu Joint Students Federation (JJSF) today said this was a well planned tactics to debar the students of Jammu from getting the benefits of this University.
Addressing a press conference, Pushvinder Singh, State President , JJSF, he said that this indifferent and lackadaisical attitude was not for the first time, the state. and the Central Govt. always try to appease and favour the separatist and anti-national forces whereas the sentiments of the people of the Jammu Province are always ignored by them.
Singh said that the CU for Jammu is the result of the fight fought by the students of the Jammu Province in particular and people of the Jammu in general. Although the separate CU for Jammu was announced in September 2009, but since then almost one year has passed, these Govt.'s are not looking serious for appointing the VC for CU of Jammu which shows that they are least concerned for the career and future of the students of Jammu Province.
Talking to the media person, Singh gave a clear cut warning to the governments not to play with the sentiments of the students of the Jammu province otherwise they have to face the wrath of the students as well as the public at large. He also threatened that the JJSF will launch a provisional level agitation as the new session of the colleges of Jammu Province are going to be started very soon.
He said that if they fail to appoint VC for CU of Jammu before the start of new session of the Colleges, they will be forced to launch an agitation in the colleges for getting the genuine demands of the Jammu people fulfill.
Later, he also said that PSC had issued a notification for the recruitment of the 10+2 lecturers in 2009 in which educational qualification was MCA from any recognized university but later at the time of interview they entertained only the degrees from the Universities of Jammu/Kashmir or MCA from IGNOU or DOEACC.
Others present on the occasion includes Rajinder Jamwal (Secy. Gen, JJSF), Pratap Singh (V-President, JJSF), Gulshan sharma (president GDC ploura), Rohit Walli, Summet Dogra, Parveen Sharma,Pardeep Thakur, Ajay Kumar, Abhay Sharma.
