| IIPA highlights IT laws and clauses | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 30: The J&K Regional of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) organised a lecture on Income Tax Law and Administration- an overview which was delivered by Shri G.R.Sufi, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar yesterday.
The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax highlighted the various laws/clauses of the Income tax and also highlighted the new income tax code likely to be made effective during the next financial year. He laid stress upon the people to be friendlier with the income tax law and know how to file a proper return. The lecture was attended by members from IIPA, business houses, charted accountants, tax payers and members from the Chamber of Commerce & Industries.
Dr Ashok Bhan, Chairman, IIPA presided over the function and Shri J.B.S.Johar, Hony Secretary conducted the proceedings while Shri Vikrant Kuthiala introduced the subject and Shri T.P.Singh, Hony Treasurer proposed the formal vote of thanks.
