SCOA hikes rate of finished products | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 30: Keeping in view the recent hike in petroleum product in India, the Stone Crusher Owners Association (SCOA) Jammu province decided to increase the rate of its finished products. The association has taken this decision in a monthly meeting held at Samba under the chairmanship of Vikram Randhawa, president SCOA. Randhawa said, "Since the price of the petroleum products increased recently in India, the Stone Crushers have announced an increase of rupees 2 per square foot of the finished products like bajri, kankra etc." He added that in view of increase in the price of petroleum not only the cost of production has escalated but the cost of the raw material has also gone up and as such there is no option other than increasing the rate of the finished products. However, he accused Geology and Mining Department and J&K Pollution Control Board of harassing and frustrating Jammu stone crushers. He demanded that the government should immediately look into this complaint and redress their grievance. Participants in the meeting included Anil Gaind, Col GS Suden, Prem Sharma, Dev Choudhary, Ramesh Kapoor, Balwant Gupta, SK Sharma, Ranjit Singh, Raju Pargal, Sudhir Mehta, Beli Ram and others.
