| Army dedicates community centre | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
MANGNAR, June 30: A Community Centre was inaugurated and dedicated to the people of Mangnar on Wednesday by the Army. This Project has been completed under Border Area Development Programme and executed by a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Sector Headquarters Rashtriya Rifles and Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo). Community Centre with furniture and TV will provide much needed space and facility to the local population for conduct of various social events, religious functions, community meetings and get togethers.
Inauguration Ceremony was attended by distinguished personnel of the area which included SDM, SDPO, Tehsildar and Block Medical Officer of Haveli Tehsil of Poonch District. A large number of civilians present on the occasion thanked the Army for providing the community centre to the locals. Construction of Community Centre at Mangnar will facilitate closer interactions among various segments of the local population and serve as a nodal centre for spreading awareness on education, health and cultural/social issues. It will also spread the message of peace and brotherhood.
