Graft case: Court grants six days police remand to forest guard | | | early times report Jammu, July 1: VOJ today produced forest guard Ikhalq Hussain, Beat Guard, before the Additional Sessions Judge Anti-corruption, Jammu, Mr. DC Sagotra for custodial remand of the accused. Court after gone through the application filed by VOJ and case, granted six days custodial remand of the accused who was caught red-handed by the VOJ team yesterday while demanding and accepting Rs 15000 from the complainant. In a complaint Zulfikar Ali S/o Gh Qadir Bhat R/o Patnazi Bounjwha Tehsil Kishtwar alleged that the said Beat Gaurd was demanding bribe for sanction of construction wood for residential house of Mushtaq Ahmad, brother-in-law of the complainant. The complainant had submitted the application addressed to the Range Officer but the forest beat guard had demanded bribe money Rs 15000 to forward his case. The deal was settled at Thathari between the complainant and Guard. VOJ on the complaint constituted a trap team at Thathari yesterday and caught red-handed while and a case 5(2) J&K PC Act 2006/w 161 RPC. --JNF
