| PSC restrained from finalising selection for post of GMC lecturer | | | early times report
Jammu, July 1: Justice JP Singh, Jammu Wing today in a petition filed by Dr. Sanjeev Verma who appeared in person has issued notice to the respondents and in the meanwhile ordered that selection of candidates for the post of lecturer in the discipline of Physiology, pursuant to notification No 4 PSC of 2010 dated June 4, 2010 shall not be finalized till next date.
In the petition, the petitioner challenging the notification No 4-PSC of 2010 dated June 4, 2010 whereby selection process for filling-up two posts of lecturer in Govt Medical College, Jammu in the discipline of physiology against the reserved categories of RBA and SC has been initiated, submitted that no candidate having been found suitable against these reserved category posts, advertised earlier in the year 2008, prayed that these posts were required to be de-reserved under rules for selection from the candidates belonging to open merit category. Upon this Court restrained PSC from finalizing the selection list. ---JNF
