| Emergency meeting held at Shri Ram Sena office | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 1, After holding an emergency meeting of Shri Ram Sena seniors, Rajiv Mahajan, President of Shri Ram Sena, Jammu Kashmir said that some unscrupulous politicians with personal aggrandizement were trying to create troublesome and violent atmosphere in Kashmir Valley, especially at a time when the tourist season is on and the pilgrimage to the holy cave of Shri Amarnath Ji is underway. Shri Rajiv Mahajan strongly disparaged the class of politicians indulging in such mischief and appealed the Central government to take drastic action against such elements. He said the Central government should give full powers to the belt forces in Kashmir Valley to maintain law and order. A spokesman of the organization said that the situation in the valley has been brought under control by the Army and belt forces that deserved full appreciation for protecting life and property in Kashmir valley. He said it has been the history of the Amy and belt forces to help maintain law and order and strengthen peaceful atmosphere. This explains why these structures need to be given powers and authority to swing into action whenever law and order are threatened. Anti -national elements need to be curbed, he said. Among those present n the meeting were Mr. Manu Pratap Rana (Sectary General), Bal Krishan Arora (Sectary), Mr. Vinay Gupta (Vice President), and other representatives.
