| Modi sanitation award | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 1: The Jammu Municipal corporation (JMC) is announcing the names of outstanding Safai Karamcharis' or any other official for their outstanding services in keeping the city neat and clean and pollution free and will be awarded the first Dr. R.S. Modi sanitation award on July 3, 2010. Award will be remembered as recognition to Dr. R.S. Modi, whose yeomen services in the field of humanity, national integration, brotherhood, harmony and selfless services during his lifetime for the sake of poor, needy and downtrodden section of the society irrespective to their caste, colour, creed, region or religion is still fresh in the mind of Jammu, people. To celebrate this Award especially on July 3, will be a great honor and special tribute to the noble and benevolent soul, as his 100th Birth Anniversary is also falling on the same day. We all, near and dears, belonging to all walks of life extend our heartiest gratitude and regard to Jammu Municipal corporation authorities for declaring everlasting recognition to an illustrious son of the soil keeping the high tradition of heritage and culture of Jammu's secular bondage.
