| '40 Camps still operational in PoK' | | | RAJOURI: Even though Pakistan is repeatedly refuting the presence of any militant training camp in its area, Intelligence sources have revealed that atleast 30 to 40 Training Camps for militants are still operational in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) while atleast 60 militants are operating in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Poonch Rajouri Range SD Singh Jamwal has also confirmed presence of more than 30-40 Militant Training Camps still operational in PoK.
In an interview with a local news channel, DIG has said that 30-40 training camps are still providing training to the militants in PoK and many hundred trained militants are ready to sneak into this side from Rajouri Poonch Line of Control. "We have came to know from intelligence sources that there are more than 30-40 training camps along LoC in PoK and many trained militants are waiting on the launching pads to sneak into our side", DIG said adding that police and para military forces are all ready to tackle them. "We will not allow them to sneak into our side and our forces have turned more vigilant to flush out them if they crossed LoC", he added.
DIG said that though Pakistan had closed down many camps, they have again resumed their activities at 30-40 camps in PoK.
Replying a query, DIG said that there are atleast 60 militants operation in Rajouri Poonch among them most are foreigners. "We have intensified our surveillance to flush them out", he said.
About the most easy infiltration route of militants, DIG said that most of the infiltration is being taken place in Sawjian area in Mandi tehsil of Poonch. However DIG said that militants are changing their routes and they are trying to infiltrate in huge numbers to disturb the situation in this state.
