NSF demands bifurcation of JKPSC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 8: National Secular Forum (NSF) has reiterated its demand of bifurcation of JKPSC, one each for Jammu and Kashmir regions for better transparency in conduct of competitive exams viz a viz selection process. Addressing media persons here today, NSF State President, Vikas Sharma alleged that JKPSC was functioning in a self-styled manner causing hardships and mental tension to the unemployed youth of the state. NSF President condemned the attitude of Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) Chairman for ignoring their demands. He said that the Chairman of J&K Public Service Commission has not yet taken a decision about the pending representations of aggrieved KAS aspirants. Vikas said that the wrong paper setting pattern adopted by the JKPSC authorities in some of the optional subjects, including Chemistry-B, Dogri-B, Zoology-B, Geography-B and Agriculture-B. He suggested to JKPSC that if re-conduct of examination is not possible than the policy of Scaling/ Moderation at the time of evaluation be adopted so as to protect the right of candidates. Mohd Maqeem Ansari, President NSF Jammu University, alleged that meritorious candidates belonging to Jammu region were missing from the final selection lists which have been completely dominated by the candidates from Kashmir region, especially open category.
