| MLA Radhay Sham distribute cheques among widows, handicapped persons | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
NOWSHERA, July 8: MLA, Radhay Sham Sharma and senior leader of National Conference distributed cheques to widows, old aged persons and victims of militancy at Nowshera here today. The function was organized by the social welfare department.
Addressing the gathering the MLA said that the financial assistance being provided to the widows and other is very meager and he shall be taking with t eh Govt. for its enhancement from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 2.00 lacs and also enhancement in the all kinds of pensions so that the poor deserving are benefited. While deliberating Sharma assured that the public for the proper identification of B.P.L families which are still not covered/identified and this important matter shall be taken forcefully in the coming District Development Board meeting being held at Rajouri on 11th July, 2010. Discussing the problems of the Social Welfare Department, Now-shera Sharma assured them to take up their genuine problems with Minister and with the Deputy Commissioner regarding providing of funds for the construction of Departmental building at Nowshera. |
