Unfair deal to prospective medical students of Jammu region | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 8: Addressing a press conference on Thursday, State President of Shri Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan, expressed resentment against the J&K State Board of Professional Entrance Examination for keeping the place of counseling of the Medical students belonging to Jammu region at Srinagar and the students of engineering belonging to Kashmir Valley at Jammu. He questioned the logic of the Board in keeping the centre for counseling at Srinagar. He asked if it was the intention of the authorities to diminish the chance for Jammu students in presenting themselves for counseling at Srinagar owing to ongoing turmoil in the valley. It increases the chances of depriving them of getting medical seats during counseling at Srinagar. Rajiv Mahajan has appealed to the administration of the State Government to look into this matter very seriously so that justice is done to the medical students of Jammu region by keeping the centre for counseling at Jammu instead of Srinagar as proposed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination. Likewise the place for counseling for the students of engineering belonging to Kashmir valley should be kept at Srinagar in the interest of the students of Kashmir valley. Among those who were present in the meeting included Bal Krishan Arora Secretary, Vinay Gupta Vice President, Deepak Sharma Junior Secretary, Parul Gupta Youth Vice President, Anil Chopra Industries President, Pawan Choudhary Vice President, Raghvir Krishan Gupta Organizer. |
