7/9/2010 11:11:54 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, July 9: The activists of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) took out a peace march here today appealing to people to maintain brotherhood and communal harmony in view of the prevailing situation in Kashmir.
Jointly led by JKPCC General Secretary and MLC Ravinder Sharma and District Congress President Om Chopra, about 200 workers of Congress carrying placards and banners marched through various places of the city from their party headquarters at Shaheedi Chowk.
Before culminating the march at party headquarter, the activists addressed the gathering and asked them to play their role in carrying the message of maintaining peace to grass root level.
They also urged the people to defeat the designs of people with vested interests and not to fall prey at the hands of such elements, who are trying to take advantage of current situation and disturb peace.
