| Govt strengthening healthcare institutions: Sham | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU , July 9: Minister for Health, Floriculture and Horticulture, Sham Lal Sharma today inspected various health institutions across Jammu and took stock of the medicare facilities being provided to the patient there.
During his visit to the Sub District Hospital Bishnah, the Minister took a serious note of absence of BMO Bishnah and has directed the Chief Medical Officer Jammu, Dr Baldev Sharma to seek an explanation from the concerned officer. He has asked the concerned staff to ensure their presence in the hospitals and directed the concerned officers to maintain proper attendance records. He also enquired about the
Minister also interacted with the patients and inquired about the facilities being provided to them.
He has stressed on the upkeep of the existing infrastructure and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in and around the hospital premises.
Later, he also inspected the healthcare facilities in the government hospital Gandhinagar and took stock of the renovation work of OPD, Emergency ward and nursing counters.
Minister asked the concern officer to ensure good healthcare facilities to the patients and maintain proper sanitation in the hospital.
Sham Lal said that government will ensure that people can avail good healthcare facilities and strengthening of the health institutions has been prioritized so that these can cater to the health needs of the masses.
